"....don't tell me you're headed out again. Not this late at night."

Rin sighed at her roommate, knowing recklessness when she saw it. These days, it was getting more and more dangerous to head outside after it got dark. Who knows what Mami was doing out there but Rin certainly didn't approve. If she had to clean up after Mami's messes, she would be pleased. Of course, she wouldn't actually admit that she was worried. Very worried. The thought of seeing the blond haired girl head out into danger made her heart do odd things. Things she didn't entirely approve of but didn't try to hold back. Only hide.

"You're the one not trusting me. I said I could take care of myself so just go with that."

Rin didn't hesitate to step up on her tip toes so she could look past Mami and see what was heading their way. No danger here at all.

"That's because I don't want you to get hurt. It's not easy to tell someone about magic either." Mami tossed away the useless weapons as they are fired, summoning more in their place.

"That much be the witch..." Looking back at Rin Mami did the only thing she could think to do, summoning strand of ribbon to tie Rin's hands together, and hold the other end in her own, that way she could keep Rin on a short leash, so to speak.

Rin stared down at the ribbon and looked back up at Mami.

"I didn't know you were into this kind of play."

Yeah, that attitude was probably getting really annoying. Rin should be taking their situation more seriously but it still looked under control so she didn't see a need to treat it seriously just yet. Besides, she wanted to see the look on Mami's face when she was surprised by Rin's greatness.

"When we get back to our apartment, I tell you all the things I am into, if that makes you feel any better." Mami didn't have a lot of time to talk or tease though, seeing how that shadow was getting bigger and bigger until a giant wooden train came crashing down on top of them. It was a good thing Mami was ready, picking up Rin and carrying her right out of the danger as the whole world seemed to shake.

Of course, it wasn't a normal train, with giant eyes on the front, and long sharp teeth where the cow pusher was supposed to be. It moved and turned in an impossible way, as the engines seemed to rev up, obviously planning on crashing into them.

"It will. But for the moment..."

You know, she really doesn't care for this ribbon thing. She focuses on reinforcing her wrists and easily uses her magic strength to rip herself out of it. Now, she didn't mind being carried so she didn't fight that. Instead, she just pulled out a gemstone and spoke in German under her breath. With a heavy toss, she flung it at where the train's wheels were on the ground. It impacted and exploded, coating everything around in ice.

"Let's see it move like that."

"Huh?" Mami quickly turned her head, feeling her magic being broken behind her. Had something come and attacked Rin?! Her eyes just flew open wide as she saw the girl break through her ribbons, stunned for the moment. She simply just watched Rin pull out that gem and throw it, seeing the area breaking out into ice, trapping the train who struggled against it.

Of course, without it moving, Mami would have the perfect show to blow away the witch with a single shot, but she's still a little stunned that Rin had magic!

"Are you going to do something or are you going to stare? Because if you're not, put me down so I can."

Sheesh. Rin huffed once, a little tinge of redness appearing on her face. Mostly because she's recognizing her position right now.

Mami quickly let Rin down onto the ground, still a little shocked by what she had seen. Where Rin seemed hardly upset about the magic around her, Mami was still surprised that Rin had her own secrets. But they couldn't wait around, that witch had to be dealt with.

"..Make sure you keep it rooted, I'm going to finish it off!" Mami nodded to Rin, hoping that she could do that much. The witch train was already fighting to get free after all. Mami was fast though, jumping onto the air, hovering for a moment, as she starts to summon her final attack.

Rin mumbled under her breath about Mami forcing her to waste her jewels when she had a perfectly good opportunity a few seconds ago. These were expensive, you know! She had to work her butt off just to buy one.

But despite her complaining, she didn't let her guard down. Nor did she let the witch move, wasting another jewel just to pile on more ice.

Those ribbons of her's soon formed into a giant cannon, pointing down at the Witch. Mami hadn't planned for things to do like this, but with Rin's help, taking the Witch down didn't look to be all that difficult. She summoned up all her strength to load that giant gun, yelling out, "Tiro Finale!" as it fired.

The entire inside of the barrier shook as that giant rifle fired. In an instant the entire train body of the witch was disintegrated, leaving behind nothing except a little black gem.

"Thanks for your help, Tohsaka-san.." Mami wasn't happy about how things had gone, but the Witch was dead, and she got a Grief Seed to purify her gem.

Rin watched the entire thing casually and gave a dismissive shrug when thanked. She'll get Mami back for this later, to be sure. Rin could certainly hold a grudge for way too long of a time.

"Yeah, yeah, anytime. Just don't try to lie to me again."

Of course, Mami had no idea that there was a grudge to be had against her, but she was still happy that it was all over, and the two of them were safe. Holding the seed in her hand, the barrier simply went 'pop' and disappeared, leaving them in front of a toy store in the empty street late at night. At the same time Mami's clothes seemed to change back in the same way, from her white and yellow outfit to what she had left the house wearing a short time ago.

"I think you're the one who lied to me, Tohsaka-san. Just what was that you used to make the ice in there?"

"Leaving out the truth isn't lying. You, on the other hand, said you were going out to do something safe. I'm not answering anything until you explain yourself."

So what if they weer standing in front of a toy store. Rin was very used to having her arguments go public.

Mami's mouth just opened and then closed. Dealing with Tohsaka was difficult, if not downright impossible sometimes. It only would be fair for her to explain her own magical abilities, but it seemed that Mami had to be the one to go first.

"I'm not sure what there is to explain. I am a Magical Girl. I fight those things, Witches, so that innocent people don't end up inside a barrier like that and get eaten." Luckily it was night, and there didn't seem to be too many people near the store to both them.

Rin put her arm through Mami's and pulled her along. And she did it completely without permission. They would do best to head back to their apartment.

"Follow me before you say anything else."

"Hey, Tohsaka-san, where are we going!?" Of course they'd be going back home, but that didn't make sense to her right away. It wasn't often that someone would drag her away like that. She didn't really fight it though, even if she could have, she didn't want to hurt her friend..

"We're going back to the apartment. Talking about this kind of thing out here is dangerous."

No, duh. Wordlessly, she took Mami the rest of the way, just to set her down on the couch. Rin sat herself beside the girl so they could actually have this discussion properly.

"The most obvious thing here is that we're both magi."

Telling people about being a magical girl wasn't really dangerous, as far as Mami knew. People just wouldn't believe her. But she didn't know about the extent of magic aside from other girls like her who fought witches.

"..Is it obvious?" Because Mami had only ever heard magical girl from Kyubey, nothing else. She didn't think of herself as a mage or a magician or anything else she might have heard from in stories.

But then again, Mami was going to follow Rin anyway, seeing how her thing was done for the night anyway.

"Is that much obvious?"

Rin stretched out on the couch and relaxed. She could use something to drink right now but she wasn't going to voice that opinion. Not yet, not while they were having a serious discussion.

"Anyway, I'm interested in that kind of thing. And that means I'm interested in you. Not that I wasn't already or anything."

The first thing Mami did when they got home was start to pick up the place, obviously doing what she did best, even though it seemed Rin had other things in mind. At that sudden confession of sorts Mami had to stop and turn to Rin, looking at her a little quizzically.

"What do you mean by interested in, Tohsaka-san?" Mami placed a magazine back down onto the coffee table where it belonged, standing in front of Rin on the couch.

"A lot of things. But the biggest one on my mind is..."

She gets up but only to grope Mami's chest a couple times. Being of an average size herself, she's more than curious about this.

"...if you're using magic to help you here."

Mami hadn't been expected Rin to touch her like that, but she didn't move away, or push Rin or anything, simply tensing up and looking down at her own soft chest. Her face went a little red, but it wasn't like Mami was particular mad at her friend.

"Tohsaka-san...I promise you that's not anything to do with my magic." Somehow that was embarrassing to admit, her face fully tinted red.

She gave Mami an astounded look and just a couple more squeezes.

"I don't believe it at all! What did you do, drink a lot of milk?"

A bit disappointed with the answer, she crossed her arms and huffed. Yes, she was a bit jealous. Not too much though, since Rin knew that she herself was still absolute perfection.

That extra squeeze made one of Mami's eyes shut as she bit on her lip to keep herself from making any strange noises. Rin was her roommate and friends, she didn't need her getting any weird ideas!

"I eat a normal amount, I think." Of course she did all the food shopping, and she was certain she wasn't drinking more than her fair share!

"I'm sorry Tohsaka-san, I should have told you sooner."

"I already knew your chest was huge so..."

Oh wait, she wasn't apologizing about that. Rin definitely deserved one for looking so small in comparison. Clearly, "Average One" meant a lot more outside of magic.

"...look, it's fine. I've got more of an appreciation for you, that's all!" Considering the look on her face, though...

"Am I going to have to prove that to you?"
