[Sion looked a little offended at the prospect.]
You need not wait a year.
You need not wait a year.
[That elicited the softest of laughs from Akiha.]
Sion... when we move into our new place, we're going to have to properly break in the bed. I couldn't wait a year even if I wanted to.

It's a figure of speech, Sion. Let me put it bluntly. The first night we stay at our new place, we will have sex.
...in such a fervent manner that the bed breaks?
No. As I said, it's just a phrase. Besides, neither of us are men, so the manner needed to break the bed from which that phrase references is not possible for us.
You're over-thinking it.
You're over-thinking it.
I don't even know why I'm asking this, but how?
You said it could only be done if a male were present but it can be done by females with the addition of certain...a-accessories.
[Re...search.]
[Re...search.]
[Akiha's face flushes. Yes, she's aware of that possibility. She just didn't know Sion was aware of it.]
Ah, y-yes, that does make it possible. I'm... not old enough to acquire such things. But if you ever wanted... I mean, you could talk me into trying...
A-Are you saying that you would like me to be the one with the...
[you know whats]
[you know whats]
I-I don't know! We could both...
[try it out. see how it works]
That is acceptable. But I would like to....be on top first.
[The thought of that makes Akiha's face flush even redder and she pressed it into Sion's neck.]
If that's what you want... I'm okay with it.
Something was up.
Akiha looked up over the Death City newspaper she was reading a few seconds after the door to their condo closed. Whatever was going on, Sion clearly hadn't expected her to be home when the alchemist returned from wherever she'd been. So, something was up and the weird feeling drifting across their link made her curious.
"I got done at the Diner early today," she said casually, then shifted the newspaper to get a better look at her girlfriend. The angle of the light made it hard to tell if Sion was blushing or not, but Akiha's attention moved to the nondescript bag in Sion's hand. "What did you buy?"

"S-Something."
She intensely held the bag behind her, clearly doing something rather suspicious. Akiha would see the contents at some point but, right now, they'd probably have to be pried from her cold, dead hands. Or just worked away from her.
Tonight would be better either way, right? If Akiha saw it now, she might want to try it out now and other people could be in this building. Awake.

"Obviously," Akiha said dryly. "That doesn't tell me what it is."
There was a slight smirk on Akiha's face when she returned the newspaper to its previous position, effectively blocking her sight, for the most part. "You're acting rather suspicious. Almost like you don't want me to know what you bought."
Sion would be able to feel Akiha's occasionally cruel sense of humor through their connection.
"Did you buy a book on Scientology?"

"A-As if I would be into that crock! At best, I believe in deities but do not worship them! And I am aware of other life forms in the galaxy but they certainly did not create humans!"
Absolutely rude, Akiha. Rude enough that Sion tosses the bag at Akiha. She knows what she's doing and felt it was a better way for Akiha to open it up. After all, inside, there was only a strap on and some lubricant, which she was told to get with it. Nothing to be embarrassed about.

And Akiha smiled in satisfaction to herself when the bag's impact tore the newspaper in her hands. This was just what she'd expected when she accused Sion of being interested in Scientology. It was meant to be insulting to push her girlfriend's temper into giving up her secreted items.
"I know," she replied with a lightness that let Sion know she'd been played. "So what did you buy?"
Setting the remains of the newspaper aside, she opened the bag and peered within. Eyes widening a little, she blinked once and then tilted her head curiously. So, Sion really had bought it. It looked different than she'd ever seen in advertisements and pornography. Shinier. Maybe because it was new.
"...did you lock the door?"

"...did you lock the door?"
No, she didn't. But that was hint enough for her to turn around and do it right now. Sion still had to raise a complaint, though, considering what she was thinking earlier.
"L-Later. If something happens and there are....n-noises, everyone will hear."
There was a large certainty from her that the walls were not soundproof at all.

Blue eyes watched Sion as she locked the door, and Akiha set the items on the coffee table before her.
"They will hear either way. If there are noises," she pointed out. "Would you rather wake our neighbors up or simply put some music on to drown any s-sounds out?"
Regardless of Sion's answer, Akiha beckoned her girlfriend over to her.

Sion complied with Akiha's request. Her want to be intimate with her girlfriend overrode whatever common sense she had. Carefully, she set herself down in Akiha's lap since it seemed like the best spot at the current moment in time.
"Still, we should be careful."
"Still, we should be careful."
One arm encircling Sion's waist, the other resting on her thigh, Akiha looked up and smiled. "Oh, I'm sure your clever mind can come up with several ways to keep me quiet."
She left that open for Sion to think of said things. With Sion, Akiha was willing to try just about anything once. Like the recent purchase.

If that was a hint, it was one that Sion was finally able to take. From her position, it was easy enough to lean in and press her lips against Akiha's. Her hands wound themselves around her neck and interlocked in Akiha's hair, not taking the time to push it out of the way.
Akiha liked it when Sion caught the hints Akiha gave her. Sometimes it was frustrating how intelligent her girlfriend was and yet her being so oblivious at times. But there was a happy sigh from Akiha as she was kissed.
She leaned back and pulled Sion closer, parting her lips to deepen their kiss. Of course, they wouldn't stay there long before relocating to the bedroom, but for the moment, this was perfect.
