[Sion and Akiha are....shopping. For food. Kohaku and Hisui were left at the mansion for whatever reason but this is SION/AKIHA time.

Sion, working on a budget, tries to grab for a cheap thing but a niggling feeling in the back of her mind says that Akiha will probably not approve. That doesn't stop her from trying to put the cheap canned tuna into her shopping basket.]

*PUNCHES*

[Excuse you, Sion. What the hell do you think you're doing? When shopping with the Tohno credit card, there is no such thing as canned tuna.

Akiha goes still as she turns to put some fresh vegetables into the basket (because of course Sion is carrying that).]

...what is that?

Canned tuna. Often put on crackers which makes for a tasty, yet cheap snack.

[She looks at Akiha like she has lost her mind. Of course it's canned tuna. It says so on the packaging.]

[That's implying Akiha has ever seen canned tuna in person before. She didn't feel like picking it up to read the label.]

And what is it doing in the basket? You don't expect me to eat something of such poor quality, do you?

Of course not. I presume Kohaku would not use such ingredients for your high tastes. However, even though I am staying in your basement, I would prefer to feed myself, hence why this is in the basket.

[She drops it in the basket pointedly.]

[Okay, NOW Akiha is willing to touch it, grabbing the can out of the basket.]

You will not. As my guest, you are welcome to any and all of the meals Kohaku makes. There is absolutely no need for such paltry things.

[PUTS IT BACK ON THE SHELF.]

[Grabbing another can of the tuna.]

I have no idea what that word means, but whatever it is, you're not it.

It means using the money of others while being able to generate money of your own.

[Grabbing that can and semi-slamming it back on the shelf. Do not touch another one, alchemist.]

[Sion looks a little surprised but then looks down, a bit embarrassed by Akiha's forcefulness.]

[Akiha accepts that as Sion admitting defeat.]

Good. Now that you understand that, let's continue with the list Kohaku gave us. If we finish without any further incidents, we will have some time to relax before dinner.

[She lifts her head up to look Akiha in the eyes, even though her face is red.]

[Akiha brushes her fingers against Sion's arm briefly.]

So please quit arguing with me over something as insignificant as money. I have plenty of it and if I wish to spend it on you, I will spend it on you.

[The rest of this store visit goes by fairly quickly as Sion is absolutely quiet. She's not certain as to why Akiha would say such a thing but it pleases her beyond belief. Enough so that she spends all her time thinking on why it feels so good to have Akiha saying that she would do such things for her.]

[Sion being silent means Akiha didn't have to argue with her over anything. So, the list is finished, the Tohno Gold Card is brandished and her driver picks them up to return to the Mansion.

Akiha looks out the window as they go, wishing they didn't have anything refrigerated so they could--

She calls to the driver, instructing him to take the groceries back to the mansion after dropping her and Sion off at the park. They would walk back and be there for dinner.]

[Sion gets out of the car obediently but looks rather confused.]

What are we doing here?

I didn't feel like going back to the mansion yet. Do you mind walking?

[Akiha raised an eyebrow.] It's just a walk in the park, Sion. Though I suppose I don't mind the sentimentalism. That's sweet of you to say.

[And she heads further into the park. Wasn't there a fountain in here somewhere...]

[Sion sticks with her but she admonishes herself for saying that. It was obviously pretty stupid of her.]

[Akiha said it was sweet. Listen to her.]

Sion... Are you enjoying your time here in Japan, staying with us?

Of course I am. With your hospitality, I would find it difficult to not enjoy myself.
