[She starts to get up, lost in her spinning thoughts, not realizing the sun hadn't quite finished setting yet.]

I thought you wanted to return to the hotel. Is it far from here? [She couldn't remember. They went a lot of places that day before settling to watch the sun set.]

We cannot walk the entire way. A taxi will be required unless you wish to be out here all night.

[For a brief moment, that is a tempting offer to take if only because it
would give her more time to think and work herself up to what Sion wanted.
But that was also a coward's way of dealing with things.]

[Because Akiha doesn't hail a taxi. She has someone else do that for

[Akiha bit her bottom lip and nodded, looking down a bit.]

[An awkward ride to the hotel. Sion is already thinking about how she's going to handle this exactly.]

[Surely made more awkward when Akiha decided to rest her hand down so it was against Sion's leg. But when they get to the shopping center...]

[She's getting out of the car too and paying the cabbie.]

I know. [Out of the taxi and Akiha looks over what she can see in the shopping center. It's hard to tell what shop is for what being she couldn't read the signs, but she'd manage.]

[One wave before she left.

Sion only had a short walk back. Once she got there, she made sure she had a few proper materials. Like bubble bath stuff and proper blankets for the bed.]

[And champagne. Don't forget the champagne.

Akiha, on the other hand, wasted a good half an hour wandering around the shopping center looking to see what all was there and trying to calm her nerves. She kind of felt like she was going to throw up with the way her insides were all twisted up.

But she got it under control once she started buying things. Apparently retail therapy worked on her. Except when she had a hard time talking to the clerk in the one store given English wasn't either her or the clerk's primary language.

A bunch of bags and a confections box in hand, Akiha made her way back to the hotel. And she was only ten minutes later than she'd told Sion she would be.]
